Retail Sector has been at the helm of India's growth story. The Retail industry in India is vibrant and one of the fastest growing markets in the world especially in the sectors such as modern retail, traditional retail, e-commerce, direct selling, direct marketing etc. The BVoc. in Retail Management is a specialised undergraduate bachelor's degree programme which prepares the graduate to acquire such skills so that they become trained skilled manpower in the Retail sector.
Programme Objectives:
- To develop a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical and applied aspects of retail management
- To infuse such skills amongst the students to engage with customers by addressing their merchandise needs
- To acquire retail skills for marketing the product as per the needs of customers
- To develop the required skills for understanding the dynamic requirements of retail industries pertaining to specific job roles
- To develop such qualities among students to become an empowered citizen with social sensitivity and an agent for social change

- To link theory with practice in the context of competency development for Retail Employees
- To identify and acquire such skills related to different job roles such as sales associate, team leader, departmental manager and store manager
- To apply such skills for efficiently using different software used by the retail industries
- To cite, interpret and use various acts and laws related to retail sector
- To demonstrate as trained professionals with better understanding on social justice and excellence
- To become entrepreneur for providing job opportunities to others in retail sector
- To work as brand ambassador in the AUD's academic endeavour
- Minimum Qualification: Class 12th Pass from recognised board
- The following processes are followed for admission in BVoc Programmes
- 40% weightage to class 10+2 marks
- 10% weightage to students with vocational subject at +2 level (CBSE recognised vocational subject)
- 25% Vocational Aptitude Test
- 25% weightage will be for Personal Interview
