Since the Academic Year 2013-14, the 2ndfloor of Kaveri Hostel, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) for girl students with an intake capacity of 45 students was allotted to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi. As per the decisions of the Coordination Committee, the hostel will be managed by the Warden of IGDTUW for an overall coordination/supervision of the hostel and welfare of residents. University will suggest the list of students who will be recommended for admission for a total 45 seats allocated for University students. University students will be required to abide by the rules and regulations of the hostel including the fee structure as per the laid down procedure in the hostel guidelines of IGDTUW. University Warden is responsible for admission of students, maintenance of floor allotted to University redressal of problems, overall coordination with IGDTUW Warden and welfare of hostel residents. The Dean Student Services of University heads the Hostel management and looks after the general welfare of Students, and also provides guidance to the Warden on matters concerning to the smooth running of the Hostel related items. The Dean is assisted by the Assistant Registrar (Student Services) and the Warden of the Hostel.
Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University in the recent years has also established another hostel for the Girl students. It is named after the visionary, social reformer and educationist Savitribai Phule. The Savitribai Phule Hostel for Girl Students is located at Karmapura Campus of the Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD). The aim of the endeavour was to provide a safe, secure, affordable and green space for the girl students of the university coming from diverse locations in India to study at the university. The hostel is operational and has been housing residents since 2023 and has become a home away from home especially for the outstation girl students of the university. It has an intake capacity of 35 students. On 26th January, 2024, Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Anu Singh Lather inaugurated a bust of Savitribai Phule in the hostel courtyard to honor the memory of Savitribai Phule, and to reaffirm our commitment to upholding her legacy and working towards a future where every girl has access to education, dignity, and equal opportunity.
The hostel is managed by the Warden and Dean – Students’ services under the able leadership of Honorable Vice Chancellor, for an overall coordination/supervision of the hostel and the welfare of residents. Admission Criteria:The application form for admission to the Savitribai Phule Girls Hostel is available on the university website. At the beginning of the academic year the hostel would put up notice on the website inviting applications. The duly filled application form has to be submitted in the office of the Student Services Division of Ambedkar University Delhi before the last date as mentioned in the hostel admission notice. The admission will be made as per rules approved by the Hostel Admission Committee.

- To develop a climate congenial for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities
