Introduction
The School of Culture and Creative Expressions (SCCE), founded in 2012, is conceptualised as a location that implements a new vision for arts pedagogy and practice in India, with pioneering programmes that anticipate the opening up of a dialogue between practice and research. SCCE’s aim is to engage and instil the scholars and practitioners with creative and critical apparatuses that may ultimately lead them to connect with issues concerning civil society and the state, and bring about works which have a positive impact on society as a whole. The School provides a nurturing ground for the development of critical and analytical insights across the fields of Visual Art, Creative Writing, Performance, Cinema, and Dance, in the fields of practice and research.
