Introduction
The 17th FICCI Global Skills Summit 2026 held on 12th and 13th August at FICCI Federation House, New Delhi provided students with an excellent opportunity to interact with experts from the fields of education, industry, technology, and skill development. The event focused on preparing young people for the changing demands of the modern world. 100 Students from SVS participated in the summit to understand how new technologies, innovation, and industry requirements are shaping future careers.
Students’ Perspective
From a student’s perspective, the summit was both informative and inspiring. The discussions helped student understand that academic qualifications alone are no longer enough in today’s competitive environment. Developing practical skills, communication abilities, digital literacy, creativity, and problem-solving skills has become equally important. The event also highlighted the growing influence of artificial intelligence and technology in different professions. Students learned about new career opportunities and the importance of continuous learning to remain relevant in the future job market. The award ceremony and interactions between experts, educators, and participants created a motivating environment. Students were encouraged to explore their interests, participate in skill-based programs, and become active learners.
