Vision and LOGO

Raagini is the annual inter-university fest of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi bringing together creativity, scholarship and youthful excellence across all four campuses. It embodies the cultural spirt of the university where arts, literature and cultural innovation are at the forefront of student life. The festivities range from competitions in the field of Debate, Dramatics, Literature, Music, Dance, Photography to Cultural Performances.

INSTITUTIONAL LEGACY

Established in 2007 by Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Dr B R Ambedkar University Delhi has grown from 19 students in 2008 to over 6000 students today across 73 programs. Our multi-campus unitary structure fosters excellence in academics and research in Social Sciences and Humanities across four strategic locations. University regularly undertakes cultural heritage programmes in Delhi and other parts of India. Raagini serves as primary bridge between historical roots and contemporary youth culture.


UNIVERSITY CHRONICLES

  1. Collaborative ICSSR Project: Sustainable Livelihoods : A major research grant of ₹70 Lakhs has been secured for a collaborative ICSSR project. This initiative focuses on traditional and modern sustainable livelihood practices across Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Meghalaya, contributing directly to the vision of Viksit Bharat-2047.
  2. Shodhotsav 2025: Research Festival Edition : The annual research festival, Shodhotsav 2025, serves as a premier showcase for the academic depth and interdisciplinary brilliance of both internal and visiting institutional faculties, acting as an inter-university research hub.
  3. Swami Vivekanand Bhawan : The newly inaugurated Swami Vivekanand Bhawan at Karampura is a modern 4-storey block. It is equipped with 18 smart classrooms, 2 seminar halls, and 5 advanced laboratories dedicated to high-level research.
  4. Chung-Ang University Partnership : A strategic international partnership has been established with Chung-Ang University. This collaboration focuses on Artificial Intelligence and Liberal Studies to enhance the university's global research standing and academic reach.
  5. Dheerpur Wetland Restoration:  As part of a Zero-Waste certified initiative for climate resilience, the university is restoring 23 hectares of wetland. To date, over 200 saplings have been planted to ensure ecological balance.
  6. SHRM Prehistoric Site Visit : Students from the School of Heritage Research and Management (SHRM) conducted a field visit to a prehistoric heritage site in Faridabad, gaining immersive experience in archaeological conservation and heritage studies.
  7. Akashwani Radio Performance : In September 2024, Hindi department students participated in the "Kuch Kehta Hai Dil" program at Akashwani. They performed original poetry for a national broadcast, bridging the gap between academia and creative media.
  8. Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya : A field visit was organized for BA and MA students to the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya to study the leadership journey of India and the nation's democratic legacy through experiential learning.
  9. Research Excellence Awards : The Honourable Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, formally recognized the university's academic talent by honoring 17 faculty members and 16 PhD scholars for their outstanding research contributions.
  10. Rural Transformation : Vice Chancellor Prof. Anu Singh Lather has reiterated that rural transformation and grassroots empowerment remain the core pillars of the university’s mission and social impact focus.
