Aim: Everything that a business does has financial implications, some in the immediate future and some in the long run, which fit under the rubric of corporate finance. The basic objective of a firm is to select most profitable investment projects, finance such projects in the most efficient manner, and thus create value for its owners.
Course Outcomes:
- Identify the key themes in corporate finance
- Explain the role of finance in an organisation
- Explain and analyse the interrelationship between finance and other functions
- Analyse the relationship between strategic decision making and corporate financing decisions.
- Understand the changing role of the Chief finance officer.
