Prof.Krishna Menon and Prof.Rukmini Sen are receiving awards for our contribution towards the field of gender education and inclusive pedagogies.
WISCOMP Saahas Awards seeks to generate wider acceptability for a nuanced understanding of gender identity, which allows women, men, and transgender persons to become active partners in efforts to end all forms of violence and discrimination. The aim is to bring together individuals across the spectrum of gender identities to the center of the discourse of equity and social justice in a non-hierarchical and non-adversarial manner to nurture more just, inclusive and compassionate communities.
Saahas Awards 2020 recognize the efforts of Educators, Students, and Administrative staff who seek to build inclusive, equitous, and gender just educational spaces. It aims to break cultures of silence and impunity on gender-based violence on university and college campuses. It also puts the spotlight on enabling institutional practices and inclusive infrastructure—physical and curricular.
