Framing the Margins: The politics of Representing India’s Northeast is part of her book Being Mizo: Identity and Belonging in Northeast India, New Delhi, Oxford University Press, 2014 which was awarded Sneh Mahajan Prize for the Best Book (2012–14) in Modern Indian History by Indian History Congress.
Prof. Joy L K Pachuau, Professor at the Centre for Historical Centre, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. Prof. Pachuau was visiting fellow at Agrarian Studies, Macmillan Centre, Yale University for the project title: “Beyond the borders: Exploring connected histories between Northeast India and Northern Myanmar/Burma”. Honorary Research Fellow, University of Liverpool, 2015; Charles Wallace Visiting Fellow, Centre for South Asian Studies, University of Cambridge, Cambridge (2013). She did her D.Phil, in Social and Cultural Anthropology from University of Oxford, UK. She has also co-authored the book, The Camera as Witness: A Social History of Mizoram, Northeast India (with Willem van Schendel, CUP, 2015).
