As an educator with over six years of experience in teaching and research at various public institutions, I am deeply committed to fostering an environment of academic rigor and intellectual curiosity. My work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to historical studies, with a particular focus on medieval Indian history. I strongly encourage students to engage with the past through diverse sources, particularly primary materials, to develop a nuanced understanding of historical processes. I view the teaching of history as a responsible and dynamic task, one that goes beyond textbooks to adopt storytelling and heuristic methods that make the past both accessible and meaningful. By cultivating open dialogue and collaborative learning, I aim to inspire students to critically explore history while connecting it to contemporary thought.

- My area of specialization lies in Indian Medieval History, with a particular focus on eighteenth-century studies, a century widely recognized as one of both transition and continuity. Within this framework, my research engages deeply with Sikhs in Indian history, including the Sikh diaspora and Sikh presence in Afghanistan, and a global perspective. In addition, my scholarly interests extend from the eighth to the eighteenth century, encompassing vernacular history(Braj, Awadhi, Gujarati, Marathi, and Burunji) as well as Persian sources, manuscripts, and the wider traditions of Oriental history. This diverse engagement reflects my commitment to exploring the interplay of languages, cultures, and narratives in constructing the historical imagination of pre-modern South Asia.
