Dr. Ekta Singh: With a background in Political Science, prior to joining AUD, Dr.Singh worked as an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Policy & Governance at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Hyderabad Campus and as Faculty at National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi. Dr. Singh completed her doctorate from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. Her doctoral research looks at the interface between welfare and neo-liberalism in post-liberalization India through the lens of governance reforms in PDS. Her research interests primarily encompass state capacity and policymaking, policy institutions, the political economy of development, politics of welfare, comparative social policy, and governance issues. She is currently interested in critically analyzing the interface between technology and social policy. She can be contacted at ekta@aud.ac.in.
