Aim The objective of the course is to discuss the role and relevance of leadership especially in the context of managing change within organisations

Course Outcomes:

  1. To distinguish between leadership and management
  2. To differentiate between the types of leaders and leadership styles
  3. To appreciate the moral responsibility in bringing about change management
  4. To explore the challenges associated with change by understanding change management models
  5. To apply leadership theories in the context of the organization
  6. To understand leadership competencies and identify one’s own blocks to becoming an effective leader

  1. Unit 1: Concept and Context of Change
  2. Unit 2: Principles and Process of change
  3. Unit 3: Change and Resistance
  4. Unit 4: Role of leadership in Change
  5. Unit 5: Leading Strategy and Change Management
  6. Unit 6: Sustaining Change

Assessment Details with weights:

  • Case Analysis/Assignments 25% (throughout course)
  • Mid semester 25% (4/5th Week)
  • End semester 25% (8th Week)
  • Project 25% (throughout course)
