Aims and Objectives:
This Course intends to familiarize doctoral students with heritage resources and their typologies. It will also impart hands-on training to the students in-house in the SHRM lab and collaborate with similar govt and non government institutions of reputation to understand the scientific documentation process of tangible and intangible heritage. This course will also aim to impart to the students the art and skills of heritage observation and Interpretation.
By imparting critical thinking to appraise heritage resources through documentation and Interpretation, the Course intends to groom doctoral students who can excel in academics and heritage organizations. The focus will be on learning scientific documentation and the Interpretation process of heritage resources. The course aims to entail more objective knowledge of conservation, preservation and restoration of heritage for more significant societal benefits through public awareness and community participation.
