BVoc in ECCME programme has been conceptualised keeping in mind the holistic development and active learning capacity of children below six years of age with the focus on preparing skills professional to work with such young children.The BVoc ECCME programme is not meant for preparation of preschool teachers but the specific focus of this degree programme would be to prepare trained manpower —(i) for childcare services for children from six months to three years and (ii) and for after school care for children up to elementary. The trained professionals with this degree would typically address issues of not just health and safety, but also create an environment that fosters cognitive and social-emotional development.
The programme has been conceptualised with multiple exit options leading to Certificate, Diploma, BVoc Degree and BVoc degree in research in the fourth year. The programme structure is characterised with a range of courses that offer students not just the theoretical background but also prepare them as professionals in the field by providing field related experiences.
Programme Objective:
The programme aims to:
- develop comprehensive understanding on early childhood education and management
- understand the developmental needs of children from birth to six years of age
- undertake professional practices related to different job roles in an childcare settings
- equip with skills needed to become multi-layered professionals for the childcare centres
- develop business plans for running and managing childcare centres
- acquire such professional skills required to become an early childhood entrepreneur

After completing the programmes, the students will be able to:
- explain the necessity of early childhood education in the context of child development
- identify and narrate developmental needs of children from birth to six years of age
- demonstrate such professional practices required for different job roles in a crèche/day-care settings
- prepare and execute business plans for running and managing crèche/day-care
- demonstrate as trained early childhood care professionals with better understanding on social justice and excellence
- become entrepreneur for providing job opportunities to others in childcare centres
- work as brand ambassador of the AUD's academic endeavours
- Minimum Qualification: Class 12th Pass from recognised board
- The following processes are followed for admission in BVoc Programmes
- 40% weightage to class 10+2 marks
- 10% weightage to students with vocational subject at +2 level (CBSE recognised vocational subject)
- 25% Vocational Aptitude Test
- 25% weightage will be for Personal Interview
